Terms and Conditions
1. Personal Information and Privacy
Personal information provided to For Youth By Youth Theatre (FYBY Theatre) is used for program administration, communication, research, class management, and the delivery of theatre‑based instruction. Information may also be used to organize performances and to meet FYBY Theatre’s obligations under child‑related laws and safety requirements.
FYBY Theatre does not share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. FYBY Theatre may use your information to send updates about classes, performances, and opportunities. Caregivers who prefer not to receive marketing communications may indicate this on the enrollment form.
2. Enrollment, Fees, and Confirmation
Class schedules and fees are provided in the enrollment materials. An application is considered complete only when the required deposit has been submitted. Enrollment is not guaranteed until FYBY Theatre issues written confirmation that a student has been allocated a place. This confirmation establishes a contract for the provision of teaching services for the term.
3. Payment Methods
Credit or Debit Card (Visa or Mastercard)
PayPal or Venmo
4. Course Schedule
Classes meet once per week during the regular academic term. Dates for the upcoming term will be provided in writing at the end of each session. FYBY Theatre reserves the right to adjust class times or locations as needed.
5. Withdrawal and Refunds
Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing to FYBY Theatre.
Before the program begins: A full refund minus a small administrative fee will be issued.
After the program begins: A prorated refund may be issued based on the date the written withdrawal request is received, minus the administrative fee.
After the third class session: No refunds will be issued.
Special events, one‑day workshops, and certain limited‑capacity programs may be nonrefundable once they have taken place. FYBY Theatre may prorate expenses already incurred for any program or event.
For students attending a course for the first time, the contract may be canceled no later than four days after the second class session.
6. Program Changes
FYBY Theatre may make changes to class schedules, instructors, or teaching staff when necessary to maintain program quality or respond to unforeseen circumstances.
7. Photography and Media
FYBY Theatre may occasionally photograph or film classes, rehearsals, or performances for use in marketing, publicity, and archival materials. Caregivers who do not wish for their child to be photographed or filmed must notify FYBY Theatre in writing.
8. Student Safety and Conduct
Students participate at their own risk and must inform FYBY Theatre of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or relevant health concerns. Students are expected to follow staff instructions and behave in a manner that supports a safe and respectful learning environment. FYBY Theatre reserves the right to remove a student from a program if behavior poses a safety risk or significantly disrupts the learning environment.
9. Personal Belongings
Students are responsible for their own belongings. FYBY Theatre is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
10. Limitation of Liability
The liability of FYBY Theatre and its staff is limited to class time and only in cases of gross negligence. Participation in theatre, movement, and performance activities involves inherent risks, and caregivers accept these risks as a condition of enrollment.
11. Emergency Care Authorization
In the event of an emergency in which a caregiver cannot be reached, FYBY Theatre is authorized to seek appropriate medical care for the student. Caregivers are responsible for any resulting medical expenses.
